Ohara Palladium Chemical will advance "Sustainable Product Development"
and "Future-Oriented Initiatives"
.
PCP/MOF materials with countless pores possess ultra-instant deodorizing capabilities. Under the guidance of Kyoto University, we have successfully achieved granulation and tabletation. Beyond adoption in final products like advanced air purifier filters and building materials, we are also exploring applications for odor removal in industrial manufacturing processes. In the adhesive business, we are accelerating development of products that replace sewing, advancing efforts to develop sales channels beyond our existing cyanoacrylate products.
Furthermore, with "Sustainable ECO Finish" as its core brand, the company is also focusing on expanding its environmentally conscious product lineup. In 2019, it launched a high-performance water-based coating agent for textile processing. For its plant-based textile finishing agent "Uruwashi Fibers," the company has secured jojoba oil sourced from the Egyptian desert and has begun exploring the development of safe and reliable skincare finishing agents.
Our research and development, along with application development, is supported by external collaborations. Beyond Kyoto University and Kyoto Institute of Technology, we are advancing joint development through industry-academia-government partnerships with institutions like Doshisha Women's College and the Kyoto Advanced Technology Research Institute. This focuses on developing applications for PCP/MOF and textile processing agents, targeting areas such as nursing care facilities and medical institutions.
Our company focuses on creating compelling functional products using our core technologies in textile processing agents and adhesives. Meanwhile, we uphold "Creating a Safe, Secure, and Healthy Environment" as our management philosophy and "Creating Comfortable Living Spaces" as our business policy, continuing to contribute to the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) and workplace reform.
